The entry-level crossover market is getting a new competitor. The Honda is poised to challenge the rocketing sales of the Nissan Rogue, Kia Soul, and Mazda CX-3 with its new 2016 HR-V.
Arriving in dealership showrooms on May 15, the HR-V boasts standard equipment of 17-inch alloy wheels, push-button electric parking brake, rearview camera with guidelines, Pandora® radio and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®1 – all for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $19,115.
In the HR-V, Honda is promoting it’s family-friendly features like a unique center-mounted fuel tank layout that enables the 2nd-Row Magic Seat® to fold completely flat into the floor, creating a more spacious and versatile interior package.
With safety in focus, the HR-V has been designed to achieve top safety ratings: an NCAP five-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a TOP SAFETY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
