The color and clear coat are usually reserved for Mazda’s concept vehicles but now it’s available in the as part of the line-up at dealerships. Additionally, CX-9 will be available in Soul Red, Snowflake White Pearl, Sonic Silver, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue and Titanium Flash.
It’s lost some weight. Mazda is touting the 198 lbs. weight loss in front-wheel-drive configuration trim levels and approximately 287 lbs. of loss in vehicles equipped with predictive i-ACTIV AWD. Less weight means better fuel efficiency.
Mazda made it quiet. The ’16 CX-9 is filled with more insulation than previous models, sound deadening mats and thicker windows. This all results in a 12 percent reduction in road noise.
